Matthew Gardner Kelly is an Assistant Professor of Education. He holds a PhD (educational policy & history of education) and MA (history) from Stanford University. An interdisciplinary scholar of education finance, he researches the history and politics of school funding and governance; the patterns, causes, and consequences of funding disparities in American public schools; and the interplay between geography, school funding, and inequality. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in AERA Open, Teachers College Record, Paedagogica Historica, Journal of Educational Administration and History, and History of Education Quarterly.
