Oscar Jiménez-Castellanos, Ph.D., is Murchison Endowed Professor and Chair of the Department of Education at Trinity University. He also serves as Executive Director of the Center for Educational Leadership. Jimenez-Castellanos has published extensively in the areas of K-12 education finance, policy and parent engagement and its impact on opportunity, equity and outcomes in low-income ethnically and linguistically diverse communities. Previously, he was an Associate Professor and the Founding Director of the Latinx Education Research Center at Santa Clara University and Associate Professor and Assistant professor at Arizona State University. He is a Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow through the National Academies and a National Education FInance Academy Fellow.
