Cara Jackson
Cara Jackson is the Assistant Director of Research & Evaluation at the Urban Teacher Center. She has been working in the field of education for over 10 years, as an urban teacher, policy analyst, and researcher. Her work has focused on issues of educational equity and teacher quality, especially in urban environments. Prior to joining Urban Teacher Center, Cara was a research and teaching assistant while working toward her PhD in education policy at the University of Maryland, College Park and a senior policy analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, where she explored the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act. She has an advanced certificate in Education Measurement, Statistics & Evaluation from the University of Maryland, an Ed.M. from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education and B.A. degrees in psychology and sociology from Rutgers University.
